The EU approved EFRAG, which requires corporations to disclose their full GHG emissions. See https://www.esgtoday.com/efrag-approves-european-sustainability-reporting-standards/
Using GeoPandas and some open data sources, I created maps of Canada's electric vehicle charging network.
I've got more visualizations, a link to an interactive map, technical details, and more background on my blog post.

Global Energy Monitor came out with a list of corporations that hire the same lobbyists as fossil fuel companies.

Ceres has a new report on S&P 100 (largest companies on US market) policy positions on climate change. Only about 29% are publicly supporting climate action. https://ceres.org/accelerator/responsible-policy-engagement/database
Hawaii has a zero-waste store. https://www.hawaiinewsnow.com/2022/11/13/changing-tide-pollution-popular-zero-waste-store-expands-west-oahu/. Has this caught on in other places?
The Biden Administration released a fact sheet for COP27 (see https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/statements-releases/2022/11/11/fact-sheet-president-biden-announces-new-initiatives-at-cop27-to-strengthen-u-s-leadership-in-tackling-climate-change/) It looks like it focuses on:
- green bonds
- engaging government suppliers

Looks like the US government is looking the raise the social cost of carbon used for regulatory decisions to something more in line with that in the published academic literature.

EPA Methane rules are out. Looks like advocates helped to strengthen them considerably, but the question of enforcement remains a big one. As we can see from the example of New Mexico, strict laws only work when you have the staff and resources to enforce them. Good first step though! https://www.epa.gov/newsreleases/biden-harris-administration-strengthens-proposal-cut-methane-pollution-protect
seriously impressed with how easy it is to navigate and access archived #qualitative data sets from the #QualitativeDataRepository https://qdr.syr.edu/
And everything is excellently documented - makes #SecondaryAnalysis of qualitative data a dream
Also thanks to @adam42smith for your help
I used https://pruvisto.org/debirdify/ to carry over people I follow on Twitter.
https://climatetrace.org/ has a lot of information about point source emissions.
It looks like the USDA has a new poverty dataset out at https://www.ers.usda.gov/data-products/poverty-area-measures/. I wonder if there are interesting insights in that.
